Deir Hajala – Hogla monastery

Deir Khajala Monastery is a Greek-Orthodox monastery located in the Judean desert north of the Dead Sea, near Qasr el Yehud. The monastery is located in a well-kept green grove with shaded accommodation areas. The first floor houses the monastery’s kitchen and dining room, alongside a small prayer chapel, while the large church and the monks’ quarters are on the second floor. Adjacent to the monastery there is a hostel for Greek pilgrims visiting the place.
